Another poem for your reading pleasure...

Like Me

When you swear not to compromise
And refuse to believe all the lies
You end up, like me, alone
With no one to keep you warm at home

They will either hate or envy
The strength in you that they see
But inside, like me, you will fall
The pain will kill you heart and all

You push back another who can't be true
Knowing you can live with no one beside you
Standing by yourself, like me, you'll break in pieces
And not one will come by to heal you with kisses

Let the tears fall where they may
And try hard to believe whatever they say
It doesn't matter when you start to see
Anything's better than being like me
