Just Another Manic Monday

I took on a little side project from another team last Wednesday. Considering the size of the packet I received I estimated I would complete it by middle of this week. Friday morning the other team's manager came up to me asking for a more specific report on my progress, at this point I thought this project may have been more important than I first realized so I decided to buckle down and told her I will have it done by end of business Monday, which is today.

I just got back from picking my lunch up and I bumped into her (the other team's mgr) on the way back in, she asked how I was doing and I was happy to say, still ahead of schedule. Even when the deadline was bumped up to the max I was still able to get myself ahead of that schedule, basically flying full speed thinking I hadn't given myself any room to breathe, and I had plenty. Of course, I didn't tell her all of that, but she informed me that when I get done with this project she has another one waiting. What??? I should slow down! To top it off, my regular work is piling up so much I might have to come in early for the rest of the week and take some spreadsheets home.

BTW, I have not forgotten my promise to Carissa to get her birthday pictures up by Tuesday, I guess I didn't specify which Tuesday though so I might still be in the clear, just depending on her mood when she reads this :)

Alright, gotta eat my lunch, no time left to waste.

Ah! Finally I'm Caught Up

Okay, so I called in sick from work - but I am actually sick. At first I thought I just wasn't feeling well and sleeping in might do the trick. When I got up it was quite evident, I'm nauseous and my throat feels all closed up and my ears hurt along with the rest of my body. But still I choose to be productive so I'm taking the time to update my blog full of everything that's gone on.

First, because this is a very memorable moment was March 6, 2006 when Ray surprised me with a Red Lobster dinner after a frustrating evening of trying to find a digital camera for moi. It was a surpise only because the last time we had went there I sorta peeved him off by ordering what I though was the snow crabs platter and when it ended up being some pasta and crabs dish I sat there for a good half hour pretending that's what I meant to order but didn't eat because I wasn't hungry. Of course he knew something was wrong, got it out of me and told the waitress. In the end I got my snow crabs, got the previous dish taken off our ticket and learned when in distress tell Ray and he will fix it. But still I didn't think that he would even dare attempt another night there but he did. This time I got my lobster and snow crabs feast and ... feasted! I could have kept eating all night. Usually Ray orders his meal based on the assumption that he'll be helping me finish mine but there was no need that night.

On March 11th Ray and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary complete with a brand new Sony Cybershot S600 for me! 6 megapixels and mpeg movie mode...what? Ching had to test it out of course, and it got her approval which means a lot since she seems to collect digi cams. The first pic ever courtesy of Ching:

We planned on eating at Sumo's but by the time I got to calling they had no reservations open until 9pm. Just the same we opted for Kobe's which ended up fairly well. Actually in my opinion, their sauces are way better, as well as their sorbets. Of course, everything else was nearly the same, I mean how many variations of Teriyaki Steak can there be?

Ray and I

After dinner we went to Flashbacks, where Ray and I actually met each other AGAIN after parting ways back when I was still in high school. I thought it would be fitting and we actually had some unexpected surpises - Jacob Reese my beloved long lost friend was also there. We didn't get to hang out with him as much since he was surrounded by multitudes of beautiful women but he was kind enough to say hello and send a couple shots our way. As well, we bumped into Nick and Chris, and Mark. For the most part Ray and I enjoyed just keeping to ourselves and even played a couple rounds of pool. I won once.

Ray is also getting more serious about buying a house, and he's taking the opportunity to look around before he goes back to England for another month. Usually I try not to get involved but a particular neighborhood caught my eye, mainly because it's in the east side of town which I have grown accustomed to.

House Hunting

I will not disclose the location of this house only because I don't really like people knowing where I live and yes, I will be living here if Ray does decide to buy it. But don't let that hinder you from enjoying the pictures I took from inside the house.

So, there you have it ladies and gents. My entire recap of atleast all I can remember.

BTW, my anniversary presents are still pouring in. Yesterday Ray opted to buy concert tickets to the Billy Currington concert tomorrow night instead of the NIN concert we were planning on going to. I'm so excited! Oh I hope I'm not sick, like with a virus and I need antibiotics sick. I hope I can sleep the rest of the day and feed myself Arby's and sweet tea and get better by night time. Please...please!

Quick Hello...

Still busy but might make some time soon to start posting. Ray is on a mission to buy me a new digi cam. So, I've solicited Meg to go picture taking with my by the Perk when I get it. Ray is so picky though I'm starting to worry. We started from a novelty size $100 camera and now he's escalating the price further and further because he wants something with better quality. I guess I shouldn't complain (especially since I'm not spending any money on it,) but patience was never a virtue I claimed to possess.
